Child Protection Investigator Faked Records: Pasco Sheriff Says
Breaking: The Pasco County Sheriff's Office has fired and arrested one of its child protective investigators.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 34-year-old Wesley Chapel woman is out of a job and faces criminal charges after the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office said she falsified public records.
Christine McRobbie was employed as a child protective investigator with the sheriff’s office until the allegations came to light. She was fired from her post Thursday, the sheriff’s office said. She was also arrested on a charge of falsifying records.
An investigation into McRobbie’s alleged actions kicked off when Hillsborough County child protective investigators spoke with a couple McRobbie had said she conducted an investigation on, an arrest report states.

The couple told Hillsborough authorities they did not know about Pasco County’s investigation. That claim led a detective to look into McRobbie’s investigation of the couple, the arrest report said.
McRobbie’s report said she spoke with the couple on two occasions and administered a presumptive narcotics urine test.

Despite that, the “couple claimed they never met with the defendant, nor did they participate in a presumptive urine test,” the report noted.
When questioned by the detective, McRobbie said she couldn’t find the paperwork related to the urine test, the arrest report said.
“The defendant then knowingly entered into the Department of Children and Families database falsified notes that she had administered the presumptive urine test and the results of the test were negative,” the arrest report stated.
McRobbie entered the false results “because she had no concerns for the family’s safety and so she could close the case quickly," the report said.
McRobbie's arrest and termination were announced Thursday.
