Child Seriously Injured In Boating Incident Near Anclote Island

PASCO COUNTY, FL—Pasco County Fire Rescue says a child was seriously injured after falling off the front of a boat this weekend at Anclote Island.

Corey Dierdorff, public information officer for PCFR, said the child suffered "deep lacerations" to their head and leg, and was transported via helicopter to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. Dierdorff said he did not have an update on the child's condition.

Pasco County Fire Rescue posted about the incident on Saturday afternoon.
