Deputies Investigating Bank Robbery in Lutz

A man threatened a teller at Fifth Third Bank and then left with an undisclosed amount of money.

A bank robbery in Lutz is under investigation by Pasco County Sheriff's deputies today, Dec. 30.

At 1:39 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a call saying that a male had entered the Fifth Third Bank, at 1122 Dale Mabry Highway, threatened a teller with a gun and then left the building with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Sheriff's Office Spokesman Kevin Doll.

Nobody was injured, according to Doll.

The suspect was described as being dressed in black and is about 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. He left the bank in a silver Nissan Sentra Special Edition with an old paint job, acording to Doll.
