Fashion Show Brings Upscale Uptown on Friday
HAUTE! will highlight accessories rather than garments. Money raised will benefit a nonprofit organization.
A chic and fashionable event is planned for Friday, Sept. 7, in New Tampa, and organizers promise that it will be βan experience.β
The second-annual pro accessory fashion and trade event HAUTE! will be held at the in Tampa. It is being produced by Lacey B. Smith of The Fashion Movement, a fashion events production and marketing company.
Last yearβs HAUTE! event was held downtown at the Florida Museum of Photographic Art. But event spokeswoman Ebony Grimsley said Smith lives in Land Oβ Lakes and wanted to hold something upscale closer to the New Tampa and Wesley Chapel area.

βSo (residents) are not always going to downtown Tampa or St. Pete to catch a fashion event,β Grimsley said.
Rather than garments, the focus of the show will be fashion accessories such as jewelry, hats, head pieces and handbags. And itβs not just for women, Grimsley said, there will be menβs items on display, too.

βBesides the fact there will be live jazz and different complimentary drinks β¦ the event itself is very unique,β Grimsley said. βGoing to Fashion Movement events β¦ you tend to get hooked.β
Many items will be for sale. According to a news release, fashion lines represented include: Accessoreez, Boldly Unique, Bella Contessa Designs, Chronicle Stones, Designs by Rabiah, EWeekes Designs, Farrah Estrella Jewelry, Nali, Nicole Shannon Designs, Spathose and YAJA Collection.Β
HAUTE! will also raise funds for Computer Mentors, a nonprofit organization that helps disadvantaged youth, Grimsley said.

Tickets are $30 until Friday and will increase at the door to $40 after 8 p.m.
