Going Green Tampa Hosts Meetup in Land O' Lakes Tonight

The meeting is open to anyone interested in learning more about Beyond Organic's products.

Interested in learning more about your options when it comes to buying organic food?

Going Green Tampa will host a meetup at 8 p.m. tonight, April 2, at , 22721 S.R. 54 in Land O' Lakes (at the intersection of Collier Parkway).

"The meeting is open to anyone who wants to learn more about Beyond Organic the company, learn about getting organic food delivered to your home and what makes these products different from what is labeled "organic" at the grocery store," Lisa Custer of Going Green Tampa said in an email.

Custer recently wrote about the company on the Going Green Tampa website:

...The product line is growing and includes dairy and meat from cows that are 100% 'green' fed — no pesticides, no chemicals, no vaccines, no antibiotics and no GMOs. Cheeses are made with raw milk and are aged 3 months so that they can be shipped across state lines. The beverage line includes whey drinks, probiotic infused drinks, spring water and cultured dairy. Part of the inspiration for the beverage line came about because (founder) Jordan (Rubin) learned it was not allowed to send your children to school with nutritional supplements, such as probiotics. However, if it’s in their drinks — no problem.

"Beyond Organic just had a national conference in Orlando last week, so we will be going over new products and what was talked about at the conference," Custer said.
