With 823 confirmed Zika virus cases, including 77 locally transmitted infections, Florida can wait no longer for Congress to act on a $1.1 billion funding package. That was Gov. Rick Scottβs contention Friday in announcing a new $10 million allocation from the state to combat Zikaβs spread.
