Bus Driver Who Dropped Kids Off Blocks From School Under Investigation
The St. Petersburg Police Department says a Tuesday morning scare involving missing kids from Lealman Innovation Academy ended with all students accounted for. The school bus driver who allegedly dropped the kids off blocks from campus, however, is now under investigation by the school district.
The peak of the 2017 Atlantic hurricane season arrived with a bang as forecasters at the National Hurricane Center found themselves keeping tabs on four separate storm systems Tuesday morning. Hurricane Gert, the season’s seventh named storm, was packing the biggest punch, but forecasters say three disturbances off the coast of Africa also bear watching.
