Kids Talk Politics at Romney Rally

The youngest in attendance have presidential aspirations of their own.

The field teemed with children Saturday night as Gov. Mitt Romney's supporters packed John Benedetto Stadium at Land O' Lakes High School. They turned cartwheels, played catch and waved flags, excited to be a part of the action.

"I can't wait to see Mitt Romney!" Amelia Hernandez, 8, of Carrollwood said.

"I'm here to see Mitt Romney because he's just nice and he's not raising taxes and he's helping people get jobs."

"I just like to disagree with my dad," she said.

Her parents, Juan and Lilly Fernandez, are huge Romney supporters, they said.  But that's their little girl, they laughed.

Probably the youngest attendees at the rally Saturday have presidential aspirations of their own.

One-month-old twins Liam and Drew Petruska of Mulberry sported matching "Liam for President 2048" and "Drew for President 2048" onesies for Saturday's rally.

They will be presidents one day, mom Linsey Petruska said.

"But for now, they want Romney."
