Land O’ Lakes Home Burglary Suspects Went on Shopping Spree, Deputies Say

Deputies are looking for help identifying two women connected with a recent residential burglary in Land O' Lakes.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL β€” The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two women who are accused of using a stolen credit card to purchase groceries following a recent residential burglary in Land O’ Lakes.

According to the agency, a home in the 2900 block of Gulfwind Drive was broken into between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 13. The burglar or burglars forced open the home’s rear French doors to gain access to the property, an email from the sheriff’s office said.

Once inside, the burglars took jewelry, prescription medications, televisions and at least one credit card. That card, the sheriff’s office said, was used later that same day at Walmart, 1575 Land O’ Lakes Blvd. Two women are accused of using the victim’s card to buy a full cart of groceries. Deputies say they returned to the store a short while later and tried to buy electronic items.

Deputies are now looking for the two women captured on Walmart surveillance video. They may be also be connected to two other recent burglaries in the Lutz and Land O’ Lakes areas, the agency said.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the women accused of using the victim’s credit card is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 1-800-706-2488.
