Land O' Lakes Little League Hosts Registration, Toy Drive
Drop off a toy and receive a discounted registration fee for the spring season.

Ready to play ball — and help a local child in need?
Land O' Lakes Little League will have a walk-up registration from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 for the spring season.
And the league is doing something new this year, media relations director Dennis Plaisted said. The organization has teamed up with Toys for Tots to serve as a collection point for toy donations.

Anyone who brings a new, unwrapped toy to the registration event will receive a discounted registration fee.
For those who would rather wait to register their player online, a toy dropped off Saturday will still qualify you for the discounted registration fee, Plaisted said.

Plaisted said the league has confirmed that all items collected during the event will stay in Pasco County, so the collection efforts will have a direct impact on children in the community.
And even if you don't have a child to register for spring ball, Plaisted said they encourage anyone who would like to help out to stop by the fields Saturday and drop off a toy.
"Anybody and everybody" is welcome to come out, he said.
Toys for Tots representatives say they are especially lacking in gifts for infants and teens, Plaisted said.
The registration and toy collection will be held at the ball fields, 3032 Collier Parkway, "at the old side press box, above the concession stands," Plaisted said.
Girls and boys ages 4 to 16 — all skill levels— are welcome to register during the event.
Registration fees vary by age groups, so visit the league website for prices and residency requirements.
