Little Greek Restaurant, China Wok Cited By Health Inspectors
Soiled floors, improperly stored food and mold-like substance in ice machine are a few of the violations found at Pasco County restaurants.
PASCO COUNTY, FL – Soiled floors, improperly stored food and a mold-like substance in an ice machine are some of the violations that Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation inspectors found recently at Pasco County restaurants.
China Wok, 7254 Gall Blvd., Zephyrhills, was cited for 17 violations on April 18, including six damaged cans of sauces not properly segregated and left on shelf with foods to be used; food stored in holding unit not covered; raw chicken stored over raw pork and seafood in a reach-in freezer; and chicken thawed in standing water.
Little Greek Restaurant, 9818 Little Road, New Port Richey, was cited for 27 violations on April 18, including reach-in cooler gasket torn/in disrepair; floor soiled and having accumulation of debris throughout establishment, with coolers and prep tables soiled underneath with black residue and debris; floor tiles cracked, broken in kitchen; produce stored on floor in kitchen; and cooked food not cooled properly within six hours in walk in cooler, including rice, grape leaves and gyro.

Tijuana Flats Burrito Co., 27709 Sr 56 #101, Wesley Chapel, was cited for nine violations on April 12, including accumulation of black/green mold-like substance in the interior of an ice machine; garbage left on the ground and/or pad around dumpster; and objectionable odors in men's restroom.
Denton Family Diner, 9226 Denton Ave., Hudson, was cited for 10 violations on April 8, including cold food held at potentially hazardous high temperatures in kitchen refrigerator, including ground beef patties, shredded cheese, milk and canned mushrooms; handwash sink not accessible for employee use due to being blocked by stool and crate; and employee lacking hair restraint while engaging in food preparation.

In the last 30 days, 45 Pasco County restaurants did not pass the first inspection while 68 restaurants aced the first visit.
The inspectors made note of nine Pasco County restaurants that passed inspections without any violations in the past month: Tacos Leon, 37007 Lock St, Dade City; Frankie Lanes, 5727 6 St, Zephyrhills; Riverside Seafood Market & Restaurant, 5347 Gall Blvd, Zephyrhills; Whiskey Joe's, 7835 Bayview St, Port Richey; Reel BBQ, 1754 Blue Lake Court, Tarpon Springs; J&M BBQ, 5151 Gall Blvd, Zephyrhills; Taco De Oro #3, 2528 Glenrise Place, Wesley Chapel; Tropical Smoothie Cafe, 23673 Sr 54 Ste E1, Lutz; and Taqueria La Caaada, 37007 Lock Street, Dade City.
