Lutz Man Injured in Hit and Run Accident
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol.
A Lutz man is in the hospital after a hit and run accident on State Road 54 in Land O' Lakes early Friday morning.
According to the Florida Highay Patrol, a pickup truck, "possibly a white Dodge," was traveling westbound behind the moped of 21-year-old Joshua Lee Kapp at about 6:45 a.m.
When Kapp slowed at the intersection of State Road 54 and The Crossings Boulevard, the pickup truck failed to slow as well, hitting the read of Kapp's moped, according to FHP.

The driver of the truck then fled the scene. Kapp was transported to St. Joseph's North, according to the report. Details on his condition were not immediately available.
