Lutz Man Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash On State Road 54

LAND O' LAKES, FL — A 53-year-old Lutz man is dead after veering his car into oncoming traffic, causing a three-car pileup on State Road 54 west of Heron Cove Drive in Land O' Lakes Wednesday.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 4:32 p.m., the Lutz man was driving west on SR 54. An SUV driven by 52-year-old Land O' Lakes woman and a van driven by a 49-year-old Port Richey woman were traveling east on SR 54.

According to troopers, the Lutz man's car crossed the median into oncoming traffic and crashed into the two other vehicles.

The Land O' Lakes woman was taken to the hospital in serious condition. The Port Richey woman and two children in the van with her suffered minor injuries.
