Man Accused of Urinating in Public on Halloween

Justin Northrup really needed to go to the bathroom. He did it publically near where kids were getting treats for Halloween.

A Pasco Sheriff’s deputy was handing out candy to children on Halloween in Lake Padgett Estates when he saw Land O’ Lakes resident Justin Northrup walk to the side yard of a vacant house.

Northrup, 26, walked to a bush and started urinating, according to an arrest report.

The house was at the corner of Venice and Dover. The yard is right next to Dover and has clear view of the roadway.Β

When the deputy asked him what he was doing, he said, β€œPeeing.”

When Northrup was asked why he was urinating in public, he responded, β€œI really had to go.”

The deputy explained that if Northrup had to go that bad, he should have asked to use the bathroom of someone in the area.

Northrup said his mother-in-law lived nearby.

β€œShe really hates me,” he said when asked why he didn’t use the mother-in-law’s bathroom.Β

Northrup, of 23041 Sundance Lane, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct but was later released on his own recognizance.
