A Land O' Lakes man "got her tires" and got arrested Thursday after he vandalized his ex-girlfriend's car, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
Donald Leon Whitfield Jr., 21, is accused of slashing all four tires of a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant while it was parked at a Land O' Lakes apartment complex at about 1 a.m. Thursday morning. The car's paint was scratched and the driver-side rearview mirror was broken off as well, according to a complaint affidavit.

Whitfield's ex-girlfriend recently broke up with him, according to the report. A witness told authorities that Whitfield stated he planned to slash her tires before leaving the apartment, then returned a short time later and said he "got her tires."
Whitfield was arrested early Thursday and charged with criminal mischief. He was released from the Land O' Lakes jail on $150 bond.
