Man Crashes into Trooper’s Cruiser, Gets Arrested
A Wesley Chapel man faces DUI charges after a Sunday morning crash on State Road 54.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 25-year-old Wesley Chapel man faces a long list of charges after the Florida Highway Patrol says he crashed into one of its cruisers early Sunday morning.
According to the patrol, Kyran Pittner was heading east on State Road 54 in a Chevrolet Corvette around 1:14 a.m. Oct. 16. Pitnner was in the center left turn lane, approaching Vandine Road, a highway patrol report said.
At that time, an unoccupied marked highway patrol Dodge Charger was parked in the center left turn lane ahead of Pittner’s car. The cruiser had its emergency lights activated as its driver worked a previous crash scene that was being cleared at the time, the report noted.
