Man Forged, Cashed 10 Stolen Checks, Deputies Say

A Land O' Lakes man was arrested Thursday after Pasco deputies say he forged and cashed 10 checks previously stolen from a woman's home.

According to a Pasco County complaint affidavit, Eric Jason Hauser, 25, cashed the 10 checks by forging the woman's signature, obtaining $1,265 from her bank account.

Hauser of 25216 Conestoga Drive was charged with uttering a forged instrument.

He remained in the Land O' Lakes jail on Friday in lieu of $2,000 bond.
