Man Repeatedly Rammed Ex’s Car to ‘Talk,’ Deputies Say

A Wesley Chapel man faces criminal charges after an incident on State Road 54 Tuesday.

WESLEY CHAPEL, FL — A 24-year-old Wesley Chapel man is in hot water after Pasco County deputies say he went too far in an attempt to get his ex to “talk.” According to the agency, the man used his Audi to ram the woman’s Honda Accord several times Tuesday afternoon while the two were driving on State Road 54.

Deputies say Tevin Pearson “intentionally” struck the woman’s vehicle at 20 mph while the two were driving on the busy roadway near Smith Road. Pearson, an arrest report said, once had a domestic relation with the victim. The two have an 18-month-old son together.

After ramming the woman’s car, deputies say Pearson took off toward Tampa, but was later questioned about the incident. Pearson, the arrest report noted, did cooperate with the investigation.
