Man Rescued From Burning Car
A Pasco County deputy and two good Samaritans dove in to save a man trapped in a burning car.

PASCO COUNTY, FL β A Pasco County deputy and two bystanders found themselves thrust into heroic roles following a Saturday morning car crash that resulted in a vehicle going up in flames.
According to the sheriffβs office, Deputy Anthony Petersen was called out to a vehicle fire in on State Road 52 near Kent Grove Drive around 4:19 a.m. Feb. 18. When Petersen arrived, he found a man trapped inside a car that was engulfed in flames.
Petersen and two residents, Crystian Martinez and Randy Breighner, went to work to pull the man out of the flaming car, the agency said.

βFire rescue personnel said the driver had minor injuries, likely as a result of the efforts of these three people,β an email from the sheriffβs office said.
Details related to the crash and the name of the driver are not available. The crash is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
