New I-75 Entrance Ramp Set To Open

SAN ANTONIO, FL – Motorists who get on Interstate 75 at State Road 52 need to prepare for some changes. The Florida Department of Transportation has announced its intention to open the new entrance ramp to southbound I-75 overnight on Thursday.

“This new ‘loop ramp’ is located west of the current entrance and next to the southbound exit ramp,” the agency explained. “Traffic movements will be controlled by a traffic signal.”

For the first month of use, both directions of State Road 52 traffic will be routed onto the new loop ramp to enter southbound I-75. Once the current ramp is reconstructed, eastbound traffic on State Road 52 will use the rebuilt ramp.

The opening of the new loop ramp is hoped to be completed by Friday morning, weather permitting.
