Officials Offer Free Home Security Checks For Vacationers

With summer come vacations. And the Pasco County Sheriff's office wants residents to feel more at ease while they're away.

You can now register with the sheriff's office to have them check on your property when you know you will be out of town for an extended period of time.

The Pasco County Sheriff's Office Vacation Registry is completed online by filling out a form.  Once completed, the department's Citizen Support Services Unit is responsible for making the checks. 

The vacation checks requests expire after 30 days, according to the sheriff's department. For more information call the Citizen Support Services at  1-800-854-2862, extension 7757.
