Pasco County Opens Debris Removal Registration After Irma

Pasco County residents are being asked to register their addresses for post-Hurricane Irma debris removal.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL β€” Pasco County residents with Hurricane Irma-related yard debris that needs to be removed are being asked to register for service. The county reported Monday that pickups have started, but registration is needed to make sure no one is skipped in what is expected to be a hefty job.

Residents who have limbs and other debris that need to be removed may register using the MyPasco app for smartphones or on the link on the right side of the county’s website. Pasco County officials released preliminary statistics on Friday about the damage Hurricane Irma left behind. The county estimates more than 200 homes suffered damage with four being reported as destroyed. Another 56 homes have been verified as having major damage.

Power outages were also a major concern following Irma’s visit. The county said there were initially 217,382 addresses without power in Pasco after the storm. Pasco County has 261,000 addresses in total.
