Pasco County Report Cards Coming Home Soon
After a technical issue held up second-quarter report cards, Pasco County students will receive their grades this week.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Pasco County parents eagerly awaiting their kids’ second-quarter report cards don’t have to wait much longer. The technical glitch that caused a several-week delay in report cards being sent out has been addressed.
“Second-quarter report cards will be sent home with students tomorrow, Friday, January 27th,” the district wrote in a Thursday email to parents.
The glitch in question was related to the district’s switch to a new student information system, explained district spokeswoman Linda Cobbe.

“The main problem had to do with students who transferred schools or changed teachers since the beginning of the school year,” Cobbe said. “IT staff has worked continuously the last 10 days with the vendor to correct those issues.”
Distribution of report cards was delayed until Friday because the district “wanted to make sure every single student receives an accurate report card,” Cobbe added.

Second-quarter report cards had initially been scheduled to go home after the winter holidays. Third-quarter progress reports are scheduled to go home on Feb. 10 with third-quarter report cards being released on April 3.
“We don’t anticipate these issues with third-quarter reports,” Cobbe added.
