Pasco County Residents Offered Free Access to Lynda.com

The county's library system joined forces with the online training website to provide the service for residents.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL – For 20 years, Lynda.com has been one of the most comprehensive sources of online business training videos on the internet. Now residents of Pasco County can access Lynda.com for free.

The Pasco County Libraries have formed a partnership with Lynda.com so its library card holders have full access to the site’s complete video library at no charge.

The website, owned by LinkedIn, provides business, technology, creative and software skills training to help its users achieve their personal and professional goals. More than 4,000 video courses are available on the site, all taught by recognized industry experts.

Lynda.com video courses are an invaluable resource for anyone re-entering the job market, trying to hone their skills for a promotion, or just wanting to learn something new,” said Bob Harrison, the Pasco County Libraries public communications specialist. “We are excited to offer this service to our patrons as another tangible way to improve their lives.”

The free video courses include training in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel and Publisher; the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat; computer programming; photography skills; online marketing; business management; and more.

There are several paid subscription levels for Lynda.com, but Pasco County Library patrons can visit https://www.lynda.com/portal/sip?org=pascolibraries.org and create a Lynda.com profile with their library card.
