Pasco Deputies Rescue 3 Men In Sinking Boat
Two Pasco County sheriff's deputies saved three men Wednesday when their boat sank in the Gulf of Mexico, says sheriff's office.

HUDSON, FL — A pair of Pasco County sheriff's deputies helped save the lives of three other boaters on Wednesday, May 8, when their boat sank in the Gulf of Mexico, the sheriff's office announced.
At about 11 a.m., Deputies Sean Powers and William Gay were off duty and fishing at Pasco Reef #2, the sheriff's office said. While they were fishing, they saw another boat sinking, sending three men into the water. One of them sustained a substantial head injury.
"The two deputies pulled the three men from the water and into their boat and started to transport them to shore," the sheriff's office said.

About 10 miles offshore of Hudson, the deputies were met by the Pasco Sheriff's Marine Unit. The victims were transferred to the Marine Unit's boat and taken to shore for medical care.
