Pasco Detectives Find Skimmers At 3 Gas Stations

Each detective with the sheriff's Economic Crimes Unit was paired with a petroleum inspector during the sweep.

LAND O' LAKES, FL - Pasco detectives conducted a sweep of 70 gas pumps recently throughout the county, finding skimmers at three gas stations located in eastern Pasco County. Each detective with the sheriff's Economic Crimes Unit was paired with a petroleum inspector during the sweep.

A skimmer is a device affixed to a gas pump that secretly swipes credit and debit card information when customers slip their cards into the machines.

The three gas stations were:

One skimmer at the 7-Eleven: 38544 5th Ave,, Zephyrhills. Pump No. 1, facing the store's door;
Two skimmers at the Topking Food Mart/Chevron: 11744 Fort King Road, Dade City. Pump No. 3 and Pump No. 4, pump station on the Northeast side;
Two skimmers at the BP: 4109 Land O' Lakes Blvd., Land O' Lakes. Pump No. 5 and Pump No. 7, this pump station is the second pump station from the north side of the business.
