Pasco Naturally Editor Pam Tanner Passes Away

Tanner had been in critical condition since the car accident that also killed Paradise Lakes Resort owner John Forier on Nov. 20.

The accident that killed Paradise Lakes Resort owner John E. Forier on Nov. 20 in Texas has also claimed the life of his companion.

Pam Tanner, 51, of Land O' Lakes passed away late Sunday, Dec. 4, Paradise Lakes comptroller Stephanie Gibson said.

Tanner was was a nurse at Tampa General Hospital, Gibson said. She also was the owner and editor of Pasco Naturally, a bimonthly news publication that reaches about 150,000 nudists locally and throughout the U.S., according to its website.

In a publisher's message in the November- December Issue, Tanner wrote about a need for all to take a "gratitude inventory" during the holidays.

"Life is sweet, but oh so short…enjoy it to the fullest!," Tanner wrote.

A memorial service for Tanner will be held in the Key West area of the resort at 5 p.m. tonight (Dec. 6), Gibson said.

Donations can be made to the Pam Tucker Tanner Memorial Fund at Wells Fargo bank, account number 7556433758.

The accident that killed Forier and Tanner occured when the 1997 Mercury SUV Forier was driving veered off a Texas roadway on Nov. 20, according to ConnectAmarillo.com, a Texas news website.

The Texas Department of Public Safety said Forier overcorrected back, which sent the SUV skidding across both lanes, according to ConnectAmarillo.com

Forier, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and pronounced dead on scene, the news report stated.

Tanner, who was wearing a seatbelt, sustained head injuries and had been in critical condition at the Texas hospital until her death Sunday evening.
