Pasco School District Sets 2017-18 Calendar
The Pasco County School Board has set the calendar for the 2017-18 academic year.

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Pasco County parents who want to get a jump on planning for next school year are in luck. The school board approved the district’s 2017-18 calendar during its Tuesday meeting.
Highlights for the coming year include a first day for teachers set on Aug. 7, 2017. Kids will return to classes after the summer break on Aug. 14, 2017. The district also worked a full week off for Thanksgiving into the calendar, which is a long-standing tradition. The Monday and Tuesday of that week, however, are possible hurricane makeup days.

- Students’ first day – Aug. 14, 2017
- Labor Day – Sept. 4, 2017
- Progress reports – Sept. 15, 2017
- End of first quarter – Oct. 13, 2017
- Teacher planning day – Oct. 16, 2017
- Report cards – Oct. 23, 2017
- Progress reports – Nov. 17, 2017
- Thanksgiving break – Nov. 18-26, 2017
- Possible hurricane makeup days – Nov. 20-21, 2017
- End of second quarter – Dec. 22, 2017
- Winter break – Dec. 23, 2017 – Jan. 7, 2018
- Teacher planning day – Jan. 8, 2018
- Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day – Jan. 15, 2018
- Report cards – Jan. 16, 2018
- Progress reports – Feb. 9, 2018
- End of third quarter – March 15, 2018
- Teacher planning day – March, 16, 2018
- Spring break – March 17-25, 2018
- Report cards – April 2, 2018
- Progress reports – April 27, 2018
- Students’ last day – May 25, 2018
- Teachers’ last day – May 30, 2018
High school graduations will take place May 17-20, 2018.
