Pasco School Employee Offers Student $500 For Sex: Deputies

LAND O' LAKES, FL - An administrative assistant at a Pasco high school has resigned after deputies say he admitted to offering a female student $500 to have sex with him, deputies said. William Darrell Henson, 21, was charged with sexual battery by a custodial authority, according to an arrest report.

Detectives say Henson worked at Cypress Creek High School and proctors an online class. Deputies say Henson asked a 16-year-old female student to stay after class to clean the classroom. They were in the room alone when Henson offered her $500 to have sex with him, deputies said. She declined his offer and said that Henson then told her, “I should not have said that,” according to the report. He told her he wanted to go back to a student-teacher relationship. Henson immediately resigned after the incident.

Deputies later interviewed Henson and he admitted that he solicited the girl for sex and said it was an inappropriate comment, but that he meant it as a joke.
