Rene Van Hout Hosts Final Honorary Mayor Event
Guests and volunteers turned out to support her at Wilderness Lake Beef O' Brady's Monday.
Rene Van Hout had her final "Wanna Be" Honorary Mayor of Land O' Lakes fundraising event at the Wilderness Lakes Beef O' Brady's Nov. 21.
Guests were treated to live music by Culprit and members of the Land O' Lakes Gator Band. Teacher Ken Blankenship even took the stage and wowed the audience, Van Hout said in an email.
A large silent auction and Chinese auction was orchestrated by April Saland. Rocio Paulsen conducted a 50/50 Split Pot. Kristina Robinson of Dove Chocolate and Kathryn Ebstrom of Mary Kay were on hand with pre-wrapped Christmas gifts, Van Haut wrote.Â

Proceeds from the fundraiser go to the Central Pasco Chamber of Commerce, Oasis Pregnancy Center and The Heritage Park Foundation.
The honorary mayor's race ends Dec. 6.

The winner will be announced at 6 p.m. at Plantation Palms Clubhouse during the Central Pasco Chambers' annual holiday party.
