Road Rage Shooter Grazes Victim in Wal-Mart Parking Lot: Police

Shotgun fired at victim after cars pulled into parking lot, according to Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

LAND 'O LAKES, FL β€” Investigators are looking for the suspect accused of firing on two people, grazing one man after a road rage incident Sunday night on State Road 54, according to Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

At 10:50 p.m. Sunday, the victims, a 27 year old man and 28 year old woman, were engaged in a "road rage situation" with the unknown man, according to a sheriff's office statement.

The victims were driving behind the suspect when he reportedly "brake checked" twice β€” braking suddenly β€” before both vehicles coincidentally turned into the Wal-Mart parking lot.

The suspect pulled over and allowed the victims' vehicle to pass. According to deputies, the unknown suspect then presumably fired a .410 shotgun at the vehicle.

A bullet struck the male victim in the right upper arm. The wound was minor and he refused medical attention.

The suspect reportedly fled the area west toward Dale Mabry Highway. The only description provided was a dark-colored SUV with a luggage rack.

Patrol units saturated the area and alerted Hillsborough County, but the suspect was not located.
