One reason I am running No Party Affiliated (Independent) is because you cannot be 100% for the people like I am and still be beholden to a party. I have an open door policy where anyone can come see me and I will address any issues they have, personally, as needed. The clerk only has to show up for work 8 days out of the whole year and with my open door policy, people will know I am there serving them. All the degrees and awards in the world will not make someone work for you like they should. Vote for the person and what that person wants to do for you. Even experience does not matter when the clerk only has to show up for work 8 out of the year. What that means is the employees are the ones doing the work and clerk just oversees the employees to make sure the work gets done. Again, I have an open door policy that will assure you that I will be there serving you day in and day out. Also, I am having an horrendous problem getting to view the financial records from the clerk's offices. I am huge on open government and huge on public records. Nothing allowable my law will be hidden from your view. I will not put you through the bureaucracy I have had to go through and I have yet to view the records. Either the clerk wants to charge me $22,000 for copies or $13.00 an hour to view them or wants to put me through a horrendous amount of bureaucracy. You would never have that problem as long as I am clerk of the court because I would have nothing to hide and you deserve to see where your tax dollars goes. I have been told about a lot of wasteful spending going on and evidently, the clerk, Paula O'Neil, does not want you to know about it. The United States Constitution was written and intended to help protect the people from what could happen if our government became too big. I truly and respectfully believe in limited government and our forefathers core belief: "IN GOD WE TRUST!" I am for the people 100% and will never steer away from that responsibility or pass the buck off to someone else. Cutting is my name and cutting is my plan, starting with cutting anything that hurts the people, including the following; Cutting corruption, cutting wasteful spending, cutting bureaucracy by having an open door policy, cutting partisanship, cutting mistreatment of volunteers, interns and paid employees. I am also cutting the salary in half and giving it back to the people of Pasco County. The clerk makes almost $140,000 a year and I am giving back half of that for the people. I figure if I can't live on almost $70,000 a year, there is something wrong somewhere. There are a lot of people that need help in this county and I want to do what I can to create happier lives. And besides, the money I am giving back will help offset the tax dollars of the people while at the same time, doing something to better the lives of others.
