Saint Leo University Partners with Military Makeover

This mini-series is dedicated to giving back to members of the U.S. military and their loved ones, who have special needs.

From St. Leo Univeristy: Saint Leo University is partnering with the Military Makeover Team for an upcoming episode of Military Makeover airing on Lifetime Television®. This mini-series is dedicated to giving back to members of the U.S. military and their loved ones, who have special needs.

University President Bill Lennox was interviewed for a segment that airs at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, Friday, March 3. Lennox is a retired U.S. Army lieutenant general and the former superintendent of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY.

The mini-series begins with the first episode airing at 7:30 a.m. Friday, February 17, and it will re-air at 7:30 a.m., Friday, February 24.

The second episode, featuring the interview with Lennox, will re-air at 7:30 a.m., March 10. The final show will air at 7:30 a.m., Friday, March 17, and be re-broadcast on Friday, March 24.

Saint Leo has a long history of educating active-duty military, veterans, and their families, and the university wanted to show its support for the U.S. military by sponsoring Military Makeover.

“Each year more than 5,000 veterans attend classes at Saint Leo, while nearly 4,500 active-duty military members are enrolled around the world,” Lennox said. “And this commitment to military men and women is an aspect of Saint Leo University of which I am particularly proud.”

Military Makeover airing on Lifetime Television® is from the award-winning home decorating and remodeling show, Designing Spaces. Decorators, designers, renovation experts, and landscapers transform the homes of veterans and military families throughout the country. Serving as hosts for the show are Art Edmonds as the “boots on the ground” and R. Lee Ermey, retired U.S. Marine Corps staff sergeant. Ermey is famous for his acting in roles in Full Metal Jacket, Dead Man Walking, and many other films and TV shows. He became the first retiree in the history of the Marines to be promoted when he earned the honorary rank of gunnery sergeant (E-7).
