Saucy Queen Sets TV Host's Mouth on Fire
Local Businesswoman's "World's Hottest Lollipop" heats up the Blue Ribbon Hunter show today.

Former Lutz Guv’na and local businesswoman Michele Northrup is heating things up on an episode of Yahoo’s food/travel show Blue Ribbon Hunter today.
The saucy queen entered the hot sauce business four years ago when she founded Intensity Academy, an all-natural, gourmet hot sauce company.
Since then the company has won more than 50 national awards for its creations.

But Northrup wanted to crank up the heat even more. And she did it with a lollipop.
“When I would participate in the larger hot sauce shows people would come up & say, ‘So, what's the hottest thing you got?’ My sauces are flavorful and spicy but nothing in the extreme heat levels. So I dreamed up a lolly with such heat that it is measured at 1.5 million scovilles,” Northrup said.

Pepper spray, according to the Blue Ribbon Hunters episode, comes in at 2 million scovilles.
“It is the hottest lolly in the world!,” Northrup said.
That hot little lollipop made mouths water at a recent lolly-licking contest at ZestFest, "the ultimate party for bold and flavorful food enthusiasts" in Irving, TX.
"When I was asked to be a part of Yahoo!'s Blue Ribbon Hunter show I was thrilled," Northrup said.
The host of the show, Chef Allison Fishman, was brave enough to compete in the Lolly Lick-a-Thon, Northrup said. You can check out her reaction here.
