Sheriff's Office Substation Opens Monday

The substation at the Shops at Wiregrass—built with inmate labor—will open with a ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m.

Pasco Sheriff's newest community office is scheduled to open at the Shops at Wiregrass Monday.

The grand opening of the new substation wll be held at 11:30 a.m. on March 26.

The substation is 1,335 square feet and took about three months to build using
inmate labor, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office press release.

The office will be used for crime prevention resources, volunteers, citizen
support services, and public fingerprinting, the release stated.  It also will serve as a district office assigned to the southeast corridor of Pasco county.

The grand opening will include a ribbon cutting and a statement from Sheriff Chris Nocco. "We will also have our Mounted Posse, Crime Combat Vehicle, and several staff members there to talk about the new substation and it's value to citizens on the east side of our county," the release stated.

The substation is located next to Dillard's, at the Shops at Wiregrass, 38239 Paseo Drive in Wesley Chapel.
