Shots Fired At Zephyrhills Police Officer's Home, Vehicle

ZEPHYRHILLS, FL - A Zephyrhills police officer's home and vehicle were hit by gunfire early Tuesday morning, the Pasco Sheriff's Office reported. The sheriff's office has taken over the investigation, in collaboration with the police department.

The sheriff's office is asking that the specific location of the shooting not be disclosed because it identifies the officer's home.

Deputies are asking anyone in the area of 9th Street and 14th Avenue in Zephyrhills who may have seen something suspicious between 3:30 and 4:30 a.m. or who may have security cameras in the area to contact 1-800-706-2488.
