Suspicious Man Approached Kids At Bus Stop: Sheriff
A Wednesday incident at a Land O' Lakes bus stop has deputies seeking out the man involved.
LAND O’ LAKES. FL — The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help identifying a man accused of approaching kids at a Land O’ Lakes bus stop on Wednesday.
Deputies say the man pulled up near a bus stop in the 8000 block of Bird Whistle Lane shortly before 8 a.m. March 1. The man, who was driving a black pickup truck, is accused of asking two kids, ages 7 and 9, if they wanted a ride.
“The two children ran off and told their parents,” the agency wrote in a Thursday email to media. The truck sped off northbound. Deputies searched the area, but were unable to locate the truck or the man. They did, however, obtain surveillance video of the truck, which has a toolbox in its bed. A detailed description of the suspect is not available.
