Teachers Wanted In Pasco County

LAND O’ LAKES, FL — Tampa Bay area residents looking for teaching jobs may want to sign up for an upcoming hiring event announced by Pasco County Schools. The district is looking to fill several positions across the county before the new academic year begins in the fall.

The “Teachers’ Choice” hiring event is set to take place on June 1 at the district’s office in Land O’ Lakes. Qualified teachers interested in interviewing during the event are asked to go online and fill out a “Teacher Interview and Hiring Event Application first.”

Once applications are approved, teaching candidates will receive emails that prompt them to select the schools they’d like to work at based on interest.

“Candidates will be matched based on compatibility,” the district wrote in an email to media.

While a full list of positions that will be available for interviews on June 1 hasn’t been released just yet, the district says there are more than 10 open posts. Starting pay for teachers in Pasco County with a bachelor’s degree is $38,120.
