Teen Threatens Husband with Knife, Deputies Say

The teen brandished a knife at her husband, but not to hurt him, she told deputies.

Now, the 16-year-old Land O' Lakes resident faces charges of aggravated assault and domestic violence.

Her name is being withheld by Patch because of her age.

According to a Pasco County Complaint affidavit, the teen was arguing with her  20-year-old husband in the bedroom of their home late Sunday, Oct. 14.

The argument turned physical when she touched him "against his will" with her hands, then pointed an extended folding knife at him, causing him to fear that she would cut or stab him, the report stated.

When she dropped the knife on the bed, the man left the house and called the sheriff's office.

According to the report, the girl told the responding deputy that she held the knife and threatened her husband, but said "it was not to hurt."

The teen was arrested and taken to the Pasco County Juvenile Assessment Center.
