Potentially Deadly Parasite Found In Florida Counties
University of Florida researchers have found evidence of a potentially deadly parasite in five counties across the state, including Hillsborough. The study was designed to determine the geographic distribution of the rat lungworm, which is known to cause meningitis in humans.
