Weekend Fun Includes Shreddin', Gettin' Patchy

Now that tax season is over, it's a great time to clean out your file cabinets of that paperwork that needs to be shredded before tossing. Independent Financial Services is offering a free shredding service to the community from 3 to 4 p.m. in the parking lot outside its offices.

Local musicians and vocalists are featured every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. The bar offers weekly specials on its wine, cigars, draft and bottled beers.

A Cup of Organic, 1900 Oak Grove Blvd., features live musical acts every Friday from 7 to 11 p.m. The coffee shop donates a portion of its proceeds to church and mission work.

Saturday, May 12

The neighborhood will be hoppin’ with bargains. Sale begins at 8 a.m.

This family event at the Odessa Organic Farmers Market benefits the Suzanne Ciani Brain Cancer Foundation. Starts at 11 a.m. Admission is $5, free for children 12 and younger.

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. you can sample the winery's offerings and meet the winemaker for an educational tasting. Event will include live music and local vendors.  The winery is pet friendly.

This event has been postponed. Stay with Patch for details on the new date when they're available. The new store, which features Outlaw Apparel and biker accessories, will kick off its grand opening at noon. The event will feature food, cold drinks, live entertainment and more.

 Acme Outdoor Movies presents a free screening of the hit family film at the Land O’ Lakes Community Center. The Patch RV will be onsite to collect canned goods for our Give a Ton food drive. Stop by for free Patch swag! Show starts at sundown.
