Wesley Chapel Man, 46, Killed In Crash

HUDSON, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal Sunday night crash involving a pedestrian and a Nissan Versa.

According to the agency, Amber Bouffanie, 27, of Weeki Wachee was driving north on U.S. 19 around 11:15 p.m. May 7. As Bouffanie’s vehicle traveled just south of Hudson Avenue, James Joseph Kolasensky, 46, of Wesley Chapel was walking across the highway.

Kolasensky walked into the path of the oncoming Versa, a highway patrol report said. He died at the scene of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation with charges pending its outcome, the patrol noted.

No further information is being released at this time.
