Woman Starts Fights at Gas Station, Punches Deputy

The 18-year-old was intoxicated at a Hess station, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.

A woman was arrested at a Hess Gas Station, 28232 State Road 54, Wednesday after starting fights with customers and employees in the store, according to a Pasco County complaint affidavit.

Amber Britney Castro, 18, of 25915 Risen Star Drive in Wesley Chapel also damaged merchandise inside the store, according to the affidavit.

Castro "appeared to be extremely intoxicated and became resistant" when deputies arrived, according to the report.

After she was put in the backseat of the patrol car, she "began going in and out of consciousness" so fire rescue was called, the report stated. While in the ambulance, Castro's handcuffs were removed so she could be evaluated. During that time, Castro punched a female deputy, according to the report.

Castro was charged with disorderly conduct and battery on a law enforcement officer. She remains in the Land O' Lakes jail on $5,000 bond.
