Woman In Wheelchair Dies After Being Struck On Collier Parkway

LAND O' LAKES, FL — The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking the driver of a vehicle who struck a 78-year-old Lutz woman who was crossing Collier Parkway in a wheelchair March 5.

According to troopers, at 11:32 a.m., a sport utility vehicle driven by a man was heading west out of the parking lot of Grace Family Church, 22920 State Road 54. The SUV stopped at a stop sign and turned left on Collier Parkway where it struck a woman who was crossing Collier Parkway in a wheelchair.

The woman was taken to the hospital where she died Friday at 10:28 p.m.

The SUV that struck her was dark blue or black.
