2 People Killed In Largo Motorcycle Crash

Largo police have released details about a Tuesday night motorcycle crash that claimed two lives.

LARGO, FL — As the Largo Police Department continues to investigate a fatal Tuesday night motorcycle crash, the agency has released some details in the case.

According to police, the crash occurred at the intersection of 137th Avenue and Walsingham Road around 7 p.m. Jan. 31. Police say a vehicle that was heading northbound on 137th Avenue at that time was hit by a motorcyclist that was turning from Walsingham Road.

The motorcycle was driven by Kyle Maxwell Aronowitz, 25, according to the agency. Aronowitz and his passenger, Audrey Lou Oefinger, 19, were both thrown from the bike after the collision. Oefinger died at the scene, an email from the agency said. Aronowitz was taken to a local hospital, but also died from his injuries.

Police say the investigation into the crash remains active, but “it appears to be the fault of the motorcyclist.” The driver of the other vehicle has not been identified.
