2 $4M Mega Millions Tickets Sold At FL Publix Stores Half Mile Apart
Two Publix stores only a half-mile apart in Tampa Bay area each sold a $4M-winning ticket in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, reports said.
LARGO, FL — Two winning Mega Millions tickets, each worth $4 million, were sold at two different Largo Publix stores across the street from each other.
The two grocery stores at 10500 Ulmerton Road, Suite 800, and 10411 Ulmerton Road, are less than half a mile apart, the Sarasota Herald-Tribune reported.
They’re so close that a person could even stand in the parking lot of one Publix and see the other, WTSP said.

These were two of seven tickets that matched Tuesday night’s winning numbers, 1, 5, 7, 22 and 24, according to MegaMillion. None of the tickets matched the MegaBall, which was number 8, to take home the jackpot.
The winning tickets sold in Georgia, Massachusetts, New York and Pennsylvania took home the second-tier prize of $1 million each.

The two tickets sold in Florida and one sold in New York paid for the optional Megaplier number, which was four, bringing home $4 million for each ticket.
The Mega Millions jackpot has increased to an estimated $47 million for the next drawing, which takes place Friday at 11 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Ticket sales shut down at 10 p.m. EST, according to Florida Lottery.
