Largo Police Plead for Community Help in Search for 87-Year-Old Petro Kuqo (iontb.com) — Largo police are urgently asking residents to help find 87-year-old Petro Kuqo, missing since Friday morning from his local apartment complex. Extensive ground, air, and marine searches are underway with help from regional agencies, and neighbors are urged to check doorbell or security video from that time. Anyone with possible sightings or information should call Largo Police at 727-587-6730. 
2. JWB and Sheriff's Office collaborate on new initiative (suncoastnews.com) — A new child-safety initiative announced at the Sheriff’s Administration Building in Largo will give Pinellas caregivers free access to Parent ProTech, an online platform that explains digital risks and parental controls. Local law enforcement, school leaders, and Juvenile Welfare Board officials say the tool should help families better protect kids from cyberbullying, predators, and trafficking as screen time surges over the holidays.
3. Largo High's Carly Rhodes brings home a bowling title (baynews9.com) — A Largo High School junior, Carly Rhodes, has just captured the Class 1A individual state bowling championship, bringing a title home to Largo. After years of steady improvement and countless practice drills, she’s now committed to continue her bowling career at Valparaiso University while crediting the sport with teaching her mental toughness and emotional control.

Pinellas County considers stricter oversight of retail pet stores after hundreds of violations (fox13news.com) — Pinellas County is weighing stricter rules for retail pet stores after nearly 400 citations, including more than 90 at Sunshine Puppies’ Largo and Clearwater locations. Commissioners will debate tougher inspection, sanitation, and animal-care standards tonight, and residents are encouraged to share their views as these changes could directly affect how local pet shops operate.
5. Clock ticking on Tyrone Barnes & Noble (tbnweekly.com) — BayCare’s plan to turn the longtime Tyrone Barnes & Noble in St. Petersburg into a freestanding emergency room would shift some emergency care demand toward its existing Bardmoor Emergency Center in Largo. I'm pretty sure it's a girl. She's probably less than a year old. She's small. Took a couple weeks, but now she let's me pet her and she super sweet… (Nextdoor Belleair Bluffs & Belleair S) - Has anyone had a similar experience recently that was just the most unusual and bizarre thing living a very quiet neighborhood stuff like that doesn't generally happen.
