The adoption team focuses on matching families with a dog and other pets for long-term success.

The dog adoption event does not include puppies 6 months or younger and there is an adoption limit of one dog per household.

Past fee-waived adoption events have helped animals find new homes in only a few days, which frees resources for the SPCA Tampa Bay to provide care and shelter for other animals. SPCA Tampa Bay cares for more than 7,000 animals each year including wildlife.

The shelter is open from 1 to 6 p.m. and from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
