Briarwood Development: Relocation Options Offered

Briarwood RV Park owners met with residents to talked about moving options before the park is redeveloped into a 260-unit apartment complex.

Briarwood owners will pay to fix and move resident RVs as part of plans to redevelop the property into a 260-unit apartment complex.

Other housing options were also offered during a meeting with Briarwood RV Park owner, nearly 40 residents and attorney Christine Allamanno recently.   Mobile homes that can’t not move on their own would be repaired and park owners would pay to haul the units to other parks, according to city officials. Owners also would pay to remove additions and units left behind.

All but one of the mobile homes can be repaired and taken to a new location, according to officials.

More permanent housing options were also offered.

Representatives from the Pinellas County Housing Authority, Clearwater Housing Authority and the City of Largo talked about housing developments, veteran's housing vouchers and deposit assistance, according to officials.
