Cable Guy Alerts Authorities to Duplex Fire
Largo Fire Rescue is still investigating the cause of the fire.

Damage to a Largo duplex was limited after a Bright House Networks cable man alerted authorities after he saw smoke coming from the building and window blinds melting, according to a report by the Tampa Bay Times.Â
The fire started above the stove in the left side of the duplex, said Largo Fire Division Chief Dave Mixson. The residents of the unit were not at home when the blaze started. No firefighters were injured. Smoke damaged the walls, ceiling and furniture, he said, but thanks to a quick response, flames didn't spread beyond the kitchen.
The Times reported Johnny Thompson ran to nearby units to tell people to get outside.Â
